Responsibility for the environment and employees
Thinking and acting in economically, ecologically and socially responsible ways – far beyond what is legally required – are an important part of our key corporate goals. Since 1998, the Burghausen site has been certified to DIN ISO 9001 and 14001 as part of the Integrated Management System for quality, health, safety and the environment.
Sustainable business practices
At WACKER, integrated environmental protection is particularly important to us, and so we incorporate it into product development and plant planning at the design stage. Our goal is to avoid or reduce emissions from the outset. The bulk of unavoidable side-stream products are fed back into the production loop. That is essentially the core thinking behind WACKER’s integrated production strategy in the Burghausen site.

Every year since 1998, we have published facts and figures about WACKER’s environmental performance and the emissions from our incinerators at the Burghausen site.
