With backgrounds in sales or technology, our experts come to the table with extensive application knowledge. They are also trained instructors and moderators with a sixth sense for current trends and market developments.
Instructors for Release Coatings
Henry Fan
Henry Fan works as a senior technical manager at WACKER. When he joined WACKER in 2006, he was responsible for technical service for pulp and paper defoamers and tissue softeners at the WACKER Shanghai technical center. In January 2010, he assumed responsibility for silicone emulsions technology management and localization as an emulsion platform expert. There he was involved in local production, product development and technology transfer for silicone emulsion products in China. Now he is mainly responsible for technical service and support for pulp and industrial defoamers, and for the paper coatings business within China.
Christine Klingler
Christine, a Chemist in the Release Coatings Team, joined WACKER in 2012. She is responsible for technical customer support and product development. Christine holds a BS in Biology from Hillsdale College. Before joining WACKER, she spent five years at Dow Chemical working as a Manufacturing and Process Support Analytical Chemist.
Guillermo Lopez
Guillermo is the sales manager for Mexico at the Performance Materials business unit. He has had two periods of employment at WACKER, initially from 1988 to 1992 and then from 2000. He has more than 36 years’ experience of the chemical industry, mainly with epoxy resins, polyurethanes, plastisol and release agents based on silicone fluids. At WACKER, Guillermo has been responsible for elastomers, pyrogenic silica, sealants, silanes and fluids, plastics, textiles, defoamers and industrial coating resins. Earlier, he worked for Hysol de Mexico, a company focused on epoxy resin compounds. He has a Chemical Engineering degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Tim Rummel
Joining WACKER in 2012 as a Technical Manager in the Release Coatings Division, Tim brought 13 years of experience with him in the market. He is responsible for providing broad technical support to all WACKER label and liner release coating customers in North and Central America and to develop innovative new products for new and existing markets. Tim has an MBA from Wayne State University as well as a BS in Paper Science and a BS in Chemistry from Western Michigan University.
Sam Sun
Sam Sun joined WACKER in 2012 as a technical manager. He is responsible for technical service of silicone release coating and silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive industry. He led and participated in the development of economical solvent free system for paper release coating and the development of ultra-low release system for polyester film coating. He is now committed to the development, application and marketing promotion of new solvent-based products for polyester film release coating and new silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive products.
