Silicones from WACKER protect microelectronic components in both cars and computers. Since they are UV-active, they also have the advantage of curing instantly. Artists are using silicones to reconstruct old imperial busts in Nuremberg and to make colorful glass plates. WACKER products are even being used under the most extreme of conditions – space flight. Our silicone adhesive has been chosen for the European “Ariane 5” launch vehicle, where it ensures that the cable ducts are affixed securely to the rocket’s engine.
