Back in 1903, Alexander Wacker founded the “Consortium für die elektrochemische Industrie” – which serves as the Group’s central research facility to this day. WACKER invests 4-5% of sales in research, making it one of the chemical sector’s most research-intensive companies. Sometimes we start off with just an idea.
