In late 2004, WACKER acquired the polymer business of Wuxi Xinda Fine Chemical Co. Ltd – a key manufacturer of solid polyvinyl acetate resins (PVAc) in China. Since then, it has been operating at the site as Wacker Polymer Systems (Wuxi) Co. Ltd.

The production facilities in Wuxi produce PVAc, which is primarily used in the production of chewing gum, as well as for other industrial applications.

With its technical-equipment and production-capacity expansion in 2005, Wacker Polymer Systems underscored its leading role within the entire Chinese polymer sector. The modern facilities are located in “Wuxi New Area.” Wuxi is one of China’s most dynamic economic regions.
