Wacker Química do Brasil Ltda., WACKER’s South American subsidiary, was established in 1977. It is located in Jandira, Brazil, 35 km northwest of São Paulo. It supports customers in Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay. The 21,000 square meter site not only comprises local sales and marketing, but also is home to an own silicone production facility.

Among the products manufactured in Jandira are fluids, emulsions, defoamers, resins and rubbers as well as several personal care products. Key markets for these products are the construction, automotive, coating, pulp and paper industry, the chemical and the process industry, cosmetics and health care as well as the power and the electro/electronic industry.

In order to further improve local customer service, WACKER opened a Technical Center for silicone applications at the Jandira site in 2003. Service labs for dispersible polymer powders followed in 2005. The Tech Center supports the rapidly growing construction polymers and silicones business being realized in South America. Focused on formulation development and realization of customer requirements, it serves as the South American hub to optimize technical support as well as individual assistance to local businesses.
