Creating Tomorrow's Solutions

SafetySafety

Safety at Burghausen plant facilities has utmost priority. Our goal is to minimize all potential risks for employees, the environment, facilities and neighboring areas.
Thanks to a comprehensive safety plan and trained employees, the plant's accident rate is well below average. In 2005, for example, there were only 2.0 reportable accidents per 1,000 employees at the Burghausen plant. To compare: the accident rate per thousand industrial employees was 30.0 in 2004.
However, accidents cannot always be prevented. With detailed emergency response plans, regular response drills, a highly qualified and professional site fire department and 24/7 rescue services, we are prepared for potential emergencies.

In the Event of an Accident

The site fire department is on duty at all times. It maintains a direct line to emergency response authorities, as well as to neighboring public fire departments.

Your safety is important to us!

If there is a threat, damage-limiting measures are immediately determined and the reporting chain activated. As part of its emergency communications procedure, WACKER ensures that neighboring areas are warned.

How We Keep You Informed

An accident's effects can be faster than our warnings! If you smell an intense odor, hear a loud bang or see smoke, please follow the accident-related procedures we are distributing to our neighborhood.
Moreover, we have set up a hotline to provide continually updated information about occurences.
