"At WACKER Burghausen, we foster open communications with neighbors and good relationships accross the region. Positive interaction is essential for our site's development. We gladly fulfill our societal obligation and are committed to promoting schools, clubs and social institutions. Among other things, we support high-school science classes as part of our school collaborations. We also allow students and teachers to use our training labs for project work,   such as for the chemistry olympics."

10,000 visitors came to the Burghausen Plant's Open House on September 23, 2006. They used the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at Bavaria's largest chemical plant. A varied program that included site tours, special events and displays gave visitors a fascinating insight into the world of chemistry.

WACKER's company band is characterized by high-quality music and a modern repertoire played with true dedication. The ensemble is made up of some 60 amateur musicians, largely from WACKER's Burghausen staff.
