WACKER has been a Bavarian Environmental Pact member since 1996. Since 1998, the Burghausen site has been certified to ISO 9001 and 14001 as part of the Integrated Management System for quality, health and the environment and also fulfills Occupational Health and Risk Management System (OHRIS) requirements.

Health and well-being are vital for employee performance and motivation.
The Burghausen site's Health Services unit is responsible for health protection and all issues involving occupational, environmental, emergency and general medicine. The Health Services head also has Group-wide responsibility for coordination, information and advice for all questions concerning occupational health and health promotion.

Our health program is part of the Integrated Management System. Moreover, WACKER is committed to the Luxemburg Declaration on Workplace Health Promotion in the European Union and is active in Germany's workplace health promotion network - "Unternehmen für Gesundheit e.V."
