Launched in 1986 and alternating between Beijing and Shanghai every other year, EP China is the only electric power event organized by the China Electricity Council. EP China is regarded as the most established and reputable show of its kind in China. The only power expo in China to be rated a UFI Approved Event, it enjoys the full support of major power-group and power-grid corporations. Now held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, EP/Electrical Shanghai 2011 will be on a much grander scale than in previous years.

Under the motto “Building the future on a solid past,” WACKER will be presenting an innovative liquid silicone rubber for medium-voltage and high-voltage cable accessories at Shanghai’s 8th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equip-ment and Technology. This rubber grade is part of the POWERSIL^® brand portfolio, which comprises specialty WACKER silicones for transmission and distribution industry applications. The POWERSIL^® range also features silicone fluids, e.g. for transformers, and specialty silicone pastes.

WACKER’s tradeshow attendance will be complemented by a seminar on the “Advantages of silicones and coming new applications in the field of T&D” on Thursday, September 22 (2:30 to 3:20 p.m.). The seminar will be open to all tradeshow visitors interested in WACKER’s novel products and technologies.
