WACKER uses high-performance e-catalog software to automate procurement procedures for technical materials and services. The program supports procuring repeatedly needed items. This makes processing of procurement transactions fast, rational and transparent.
The catalog only includes approved products with agreed specifications and prices negotiated by WACKER and our suppliers. Catalog data must be provided by suppliers in a standardized form. In doing so, the supplier can use either the BMEcat format or a simple EXCEL sheet in accordance with WACKER specifications.
Based on standardized procurement from catalogs, the supplier only receives orders that are easy to allocate using the data provided. According to the individual agreement, order confirmation may not be necessary since the prices have already been negotiated and standard delivery times for items are also listed in the catalog. E-catalogs are updated at regular intervals to ensure currentness of catalog data in terms of orderable items, prices, delivery times, minimum order quantities, etc.
