ELASTOSIL^®silicones are water repellent and have an inorganic backbone. They therefore provide hardly any scope for algal and bacterial growth, are extremely resistant to hot water, are durable and comply with the German regulations on plastics for transporting drinking water (KTW Category A).

The weathering stability of ELASTOSIL^®silicones is so good that they can be used without restriction in the open air. Their high resistance to detergents and cleaning agents also makes them outstanding processing auxiliaries for all drinking water and sanitary applications.
