Thermal Insulation

HDK^® pyrogenic silica features outstanding thermal insulation over a wide temperature range: from room temperature to over 1,000 °C. The combination with IR absorbers permits the manufacture of high-efficiency thermal insulation systems for use in household appliances and automotive and house building. Typical examples include vacuum insulation panels for building insulation, radiant heaters in cooktops, insulation of automotive exhaust systems and architectural fire barrier systems.
