In chip manufacture, SEMICOSIL^®-TEOS tetraethyl orthosilicates are important feedstocks and are preferably used for generating dielectric layers by CVD. In developing novel SEMICOSIL^® silanes, WACKER is meeting the stricter specifications for lower dielectric constants in the latest generation of chips.
