Hyperpure polysilicon for semiconductor and photovoltaic applications.

Silicon crystals for semiconductor applications, such as memory chips, microprocessors, transistors and diodes, are produced by two methods: the Czochralski and the float zone processes. Photovoltaics also uses ribbon growing and directional solidification of multicrystalline silicon. The extremely high purity of the polysilicon is a basic essential for high pulling yields and perfect crystals. WACKER offers you tailored solutions for all these applications – from poly chunks for replenishing crucibles to float-zone ingots for 200 mm wafers. Granular silicon also allows particularly efficient crystallization technologies, such as ribbon growing, and optimizes existing crystallization processes by increasing crucible levels and replenishing.
