Silicone sealant in Joints around fenestration and door frames (whether site-built or in assemblies), contribute significantly to the integrity of the building envelope. The reason for this is their outstanding properties. Modern hybrid systems, too, are gaining in popularity in the construction sector because of their unique characteristics. The STP-E technology from WACKER is precisely tailored to the system solutions of modern sealants. WACKER ELASTOSIL® and GENOSIL® products are available to meet the needs of all glazing and weathersealing applications

WACKER Sealant Systems

Silicone sealants meet high specifications through their excellent property profile. They show extremly good weatherability, UV resistance and very good movement capability. WACKER ELASTOSIL®'s are high-performance silicone sealants with exactly these properties and also exhibit outstanding adhesive strength to both non-porous and porous substrates.
In GENIOSIL® STP-E 35, WACKER offers a totally new kind of hybrid system for elastic sealants. GENIOSIL® STP-E 35 acts as a binder to combine organic polymers with silanes: the binder molecules contribute rapid crosslinking. This allows extremely fast-curing sealants to be formulated that are both paintable and tin- and isocyanate free.
