Modern thin-bed tiling methods require that the adhesive match both the tiles and the substrate. VINNAPAS^® dispersible powders and dispersions yield tile adhesives that allow quick, effective working, have a good open time, are easy to process and have good non-sag properties.

The joints between tiles are sealed with silicone sealants and flexible joint mortars that must not only look good but also take up any stress between tile and substrate. Treating grouts with VINNAPAS^® dispersible powders greatly increases their flexibility and lowers their elastic modulus. Adhesion to tile edges is also greatly improved. Further benefits are increased abrasion resistance and reduced water absorption (VINNAPAS^® H Dispersible Powder) – enabling the joints to remain decorative and functional for a long time.

WACKER ELASTOSIL^® silicone sealants are also highly advantageous for connection and movement joints: silicone sealants adhere well to most surfaces and have excellent weathering, UV, and heat resistance. These materials also score high points because their mechanical values match the requirements, and because of their high elasticity and good resilience.

There is also the option of adding a CAVAMAX^®/CAVASOL^® fragrance complex to your aqueous polymer-dispersion-based grout. A cyclodextrin (CAVAMAX^®/CAVASOL^®) encapsulates an essential oil and protects it from evaporation and oxidation. The fragrance is then released from this molecular inclusion complex under the action of moisture – and your grout boasts an additional feature.
