Impregnation for Cleaner Natural Stone
Natural-stone floors have a capillary system. These open pores provide ready access to soiling that could alter the floor’s appearance.
The porosity of natural stone is therefore the reason that floors become dirty. This problem can be solved with impregnating agents. Unlike conventional impregnating agents, which confer water repellency only, WACKER’s SILRES® BS range of oil-repellent agents impart an additional oleophobic effect. Consequently, grease, oil, paint and many other liquids are easy to remove. The material’s pores stay open, with the result that water-vapor diffusion is hardly impaired, if at all.
