WACKER appoints new distributor for dispersions VINNAPAS® and VINNOL® in Switzerland and Brazil

Munich, Jan 01, 2010

WACKER, the Munich-based chemical company, continues to consolidate its distribution networks for VINNAPAS® and VINNOL® brand polymer dispersions to improve efficiency and to create crossregional synergies. In the course of a constant optimization of the distribution sales channels, WACKER’s polymer dispersion business in Switzerland will be transferred from Grolmann AG to IMCD Switzerland AG – already a WACKER partner – effective January 1, 2010. In Brazil, the distributor quantiQ will take over the distribution of VINNAPAS® and VINNOL® from January 2010.

One of the biggest chemical distributors in Brazil, quantiQ already distributes selected WACKER products in the Brazilian market. The Dutch chemicals distributor IMCD sells diverse WACKER products in most West European and a few East European countries.
VINNAPAS® and VINNOL® dispersions are chiefly used as binders in the construction chemicals, adhesives, nonwovens, paints and coatings, paper, carpets and textiles industries.

VINNAPAS® and VINNOL® Dispersions

WACKER is a world-leading manufacturer of vinyl acetate ethylene and vinyl chloride copolymers, marketed worldwide as VINNAPAS® and VINNOL®. These thermoplastic, plasticizer-free polymers are used in a multitude of different industries: their uses include adhesives, nonwovens, paints and coatings, paper, construction materials, carpets and textiles. WACKER has dispersion production sites in Germany, China, Korea and the USA, as well as a global sales network and technical centers in all key regions.
