Technical Center

WACKER attaches great importance to the localization of R&D and the development of local talents. In close collaboration with local customers, our experienced application experts develop applications and products that meet the Chinese market's needs. As a focal point for the transfer of WACKER expertise, the technical centers hold various training programs and offer customers in-plant support. Also through the technical centers, WACKER has been continuously strengthening its cooperation with standardization bodies, institutions and universities in China to support the establishment of modern industry standards and the promotion of advanced materials.

WACKER Shanghai Center

New WACKER Shanghai Center is located in Shanghai Caohejing High-tech Park. With a space of 10,000 square meters and stretching over 6 floors, the new WACKER Shanghai Center houses 260 employees, and has become a regional HQ with integrated functions including profit center, settlement center, management center, marketing center, branding center, R&D center and purchase center. WACKER Shanghai Center hosts over ten application laboratories and an analysis lab for a wide range of industries including electronics, construction, coatings, textiles, cosmetics and paper. By strengthening the WACKER Shanghai Center’s overall service capability and technological innovation ability, as well as the development of its personnel, WACKER will accelerate its pace of development in China.

Beijing Technical Center and WACKER ACADEMY

To support the company’s rapid business development in China, a new technical center was opened in early 2007 in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. Its primary aim is to better serve WACKER’s construction polymer customers in North China. The same location is shared by the WACKER ACADEMY. The training and competence center’s target group includes customers, distributors, strategic market partners and employees.

    WACKER Shanghai Center is located at Caohejing High-Tech. Park in Xuhui. You will find WACKER office building at the northwest corner of the crossing of Hongmei Road and Cao Bao Road.

    From Shanghai People's Square:

    • Take Shanghai Metro Line 1 towards Xingzhuang
    • Get off at Xu Jiahui station and transfer Metro Line 9 towards Jiuting
    • Get off at Caohejing High-Tech Park station (exit 3) and follow the sign to WACKER by walk

    From Shanghai Pudong International Airport:

    • Take Shanghai Metro Line 2 towards Hongqiao International Airport
    • Get off at Century Avenue station and transfer Metro Line 9 towards Jiuting
    • Get off at Caohejing High-Tech Park station (exit 3) and follow the sign to WACKER by walk

    From Shanghai Hongqiao Airport:

    • Take Shanghai Metro Line 2 towards Pudong International Airport
    • Get off at Zhong Shan Park station and transfer Metro Line 3 towards to Shanghai South Railway Station; or transfer Metro Line 4 towards Shanghai Stadium
    • Get off at Yi Shan Road Station and transfer Metro Line 9 towards Jiuting
    • Get off at Caohejing High-Tech Park station (exit 3) and follow the sign to WACKER by walk
